Second Time's The Charm! Or Is It??

I have some great news... we are expecting! Our second bundle of joy is due in March, 2016 and is so far happy and healthy with a good, strong heartbeat! I am doing well also, however, I must admit this pregnancy has caught me quite off guard. I am much more sick this time around, and way more tired. This is probably attributed to the fact that I am taking care of a 10-month-old all day, and still working part time. But, I must admit, even at times when I feel sooo sooo sick, I remind myself that high levels of pregnancy hormones equal both a sick momma and a healthy baby! Even though it is tiring and a bit stressful at times to work, I really do enjoy the break from my "home life". Tonight I worked all evening (about 7 hours) after being up with the baby all day. It's after midnight and I am typing this blog! Needless to say, working gives me energy :) But, it also gets my mind off being tired, being sick, and worrying about the house chores that need to be done. I know my husband will take excellent care of the baby, and, being the wonderful man he is, even do some of the domestics :) I am truly blessed!

Nobody told me the second pregnancy is so much worse than the first until AFTER I got pregnant. Every pregnancy and every woman is different though, so I'm not sure I would have believed them anyway! I'd like to hear from you about the differences in your pregnancies. Was the second one much worse? What about other "two under two" moms... words of advice, encouragement, survival GREATLY appreciated!

I look forward to hearing from you! Until next time, good night and God bless.

Where has the time gone???

Jeez, what have I been doing for the last 3 years??? Ah yes, savoring every piece of chocolate I eat from my box of life. Let's fast forward and get some updates going!

Firstly, I am finally a mommy! I have a beautiful baby boy :-) and I am also married to a wonderful and loving man. Blue is still doing well at age 9, and I am still a pediatric nurse. Although since my son was born, I have been a SAHM until just recently when I started work again. I usually work a few shifts per month for my own spending money and to add to what I call my "SAHM fund". I moved two hours away from my hometown, and all my family as well. Talk about a bittersweet piece of chocolate! Other than that, I'm still me... lots to say, lots to write, and of course, always eager to see what flavor the next piece of chocolate will be!!
